On April 15, 2026, the Vishu Mahotsavam begins early morning at Poothakuzhy Sree Krishna Swami Temple, Kottayam, with sacred Vishu Kani Darshan from 4:30 AM onwards. Devotees receive Vishu Kaineettam blessings as part of the auspicious New Year ritual performed by temple priests.
At 8:00 AM, the festival continues with the release of a devotional Bhakti Geetham album. The program includes lyrical compositions by local artists and musical direction by Chenappadi musicians, enriching the spiritual atmosphere of the temple celebration.
At 8:15 AM, the traditional Panchari Melam is performed by Chirakkadavu Ashwin and team. The rhythmic percussion ensemble fills the temple premises with vibrant energy, marking an important highlight of the festival.
